This is a unique opportunity to join our team as an expert in providing system designs, technical assistance, layout drawings and 3D renders. The ideal candidate will have experience in the logistics industry, with strong solution and system design skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced business development environment.

The successful candidate will be working within a dynamic and close-knit team, where they can grow their career with industry experts. They will be responsible for providing supervision, training and support to less experienced Design Engineers, as well as taking a lead role in developing complete system concepts and sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative solutions that meet customer needs
  • Optimize designs and pricing to ensure maximum competitiveness
  • Review proposed designs & costs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist in preparing proposal/tender submissions to secure new business
  • Ensure seamless handover of contracts to delivery teams
  • Monitor design and cost erosion on completed projects
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and support to junior Design Engineers
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in an engineering-related discipline
  • Logistics industry relevant solution and system design experience
  • Proficiency in using AutoCad or other design/drawing packages
  • Ability to learn internal design and drawing software, including 3D capabilities
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical thinking and numerical skills
