Emergency Veterinarian Job Description

The Animal Emergency Centres provide top-notch after-hours care to sick and injured pets, serving the largest emergency and specialist group in Australia. Our mission is to save pets' lives by delivering exceptional emergency and critical care medicine and surgery with compassion.

About the Role

We are seeking experienced and committed Emergency Vets to join our strong team. We work closely with other sites, offering industry-leading training, mentorship, and support for new team members.

Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with other sites to deliver high-quality care and support for new team members.
  • Be available on weekends and public holidays as part of a fair rostering system.
  • Contribute to ongoing professional development and career progression.
Requirements
  • Veterinary degree registered in Victoria.
  • At least 2 years of experience.
  • Previous emergency veterinary experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to remain calm and show compassion in stressful situations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • A genuine enjoyment of helping people and their pets when they need us most.
