Senior Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to lead design activities and provide engineering support across various projects involving Thickener technologies. This is a key role within our organization, requiring technical accuracy and best practice.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the mechanical engineering aspects of projects, integrating with other design disciplines.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, including technical specifications, datasheets, and equipment/maintenance manuals.
  • Take ownership of procurement activities, ensuring supplier deliverables meet project, design, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct fabrication workshop and site inspections of plant and equipment as required.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
  • 5–8 years' experience in designing medium to large process industry projects (preferably in mining). Strong knowledge of structural and mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with design tools such as FEA packages (Strand7 and Microstran). SolidWorks (3D modeling) skills a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities throughout all project phases.
  • Ability to self-manage, lead a team, and deliver multiple projects concurrently.
