Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled driver to join our dynamic and cooperative team. As a vital member of our Intermodal business unit, you will be responsible for local deliveries and hand unloads with various freight from major customers.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction, with a history of safe work practices and excellent communication skills.

The role involves delivering freight both locally and throughout the region, as well as daily pre-start checks, refuelling, and maintaining truck interior.

You will also be responsible for ensuring loads are restrained appropriately, completing hand unloads, and communicating effectively with other drivers, supervisors, and customers.

In addition, you will need to comply with our coupling and uncoupling procedures and commit to our Safety Standards at all times to ensure that Vision Zero is a daily focus.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A valid HC licence
  • Forklift license - preferred but not essential
  • Experience delivering containerised freight throughout the Mackay region and beyond
  • Strong attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction
  • History of safe work practices & excellent communication
  • Rail experience highly regarded but not essential
