We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Site Supervisor to join our team at Our Place Society. As a Site Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Downtown Victoria Transitional Housing site, providing a safe and welcoming environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the site, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
- Supervise and support staff in their roles, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Housing & Shelters to develop and implement programs and services that meet the needs of our residents.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to residents as needed, working closely with the team to de-escalate and resolve situations.
- Oversee the intake process for new residents, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition into our program.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including statistics and payroll information.
- Participate in on-call rotation with other Site Supervisors, providing 24/7 support to the team.
- Uphold and model Our Place Society's values, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity.
- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as social work or human services.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a community social services setting.
- Knowledge of current social issues related to homelessness, mental illness, and addiction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- First Aid Certification and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training an asset.
- Competitive salary range: $67,200 - $75,000 per annum.
- 6% vacation accrual rate.
