About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join our team at Thales Australia AWS. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Earned Value Management data for project schedules to support project monitoring and control.
  • Ensure accurate representation of work progress and control for deviations, maintaining project management artifacts such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS), and Resource Allocation Matrix (RAM).
  • Implement and maintain the EVM system, analyzing variances and preparing inputs for monthly PMO reporting and customer deliverables.
  • Drive the development and maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and support Risk & Opportunities assessments.
  • Foster a cooperative working relationship within the team and assist with financial data analysis and support junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Business or Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of project management lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in EVM system tools, such as Cobra.
  • Experience with Primavera and scheduling tools.
  • Basic knowledge of schedule health checks.
  • Scheduling expertise in PERT and CPM analysis.
  • Financial and budgetary control experience.
  • Technical understanding of the project domain (desirable).
  • Experience in the development project engineering lifecycle (desirable).
