Job Title: Furniture Craftsman

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced craftsman to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing furniture and other wood products, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct furniture and other wood products according to established schedules and quality standards.
  • Maintain quality in the assembly of items produced.
  • Ensure tools are maintained appropriately and are used correctly.
  • Highlight material shortages and mentor/train apprentices as required.
  • Monitor risks and report safety issues immediately.

Personal Qualifications:

  • Great attention to detail.
  • Furniture making experience.
  • Physically capable and strong.
  • A good team player.
  • Hold AQF Certificate III or IV with at least two years of on-the-job training.
  • Must hold current working rights in Australia.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • 8 hour shift schedule.
  • Work location: On-site.
  • Zero tolerance to bullying or harassment.
