About North East Link
The largest road project in Australia requires skilled surveyors to ensure accurate measurements and precision engineering. As an Infrastructure Surveyor with CPB Contractors Pty Limited, you will play a crucial role in delivering the North East Link Central Package.
Project Overview
The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project, which includes twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges. The project aims to reduce journey times and divert heavy vehicles away from local roads, improving safety and reducing congestion.
Your Role
We are seeking applications from experienced Engineering Surveyors across all skill levels to join the Survey Team. As an Infrastructure Surveyor, you will work on various aspects of the project, including roads, structures, tunnelling, control & audit, reality capture, infrastructure monitoring, and survey data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with construction and engineering teams to ensure seamless collaboration
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate survey setout to support project progress
- Perform quality checks during construction to guarantee high standards
- Record accurate as-builts of work as executed to maintain project records
- Produce survey reports and plans to communicate project status
- Maintain survey data to inform project decisions
- Ensure equipment is maintained and performing to a high standard to minimize downtime
- Operation, monitoring, and maintenance of machinery guidance systems to optimize project efficiency
- Maintain tunnel control updated according to excavation progress to ensure safe working conditions
- Follow senior surveyors' instructions and procedures to carry out control and tunnel traversing routines
- Supervise and encourage compliance with all HSE procedures during survey jobs to prioritize employee safety
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in surveying/engineering to provide a solid foundation for project success
- 2+ years' experience in SEM Tunnelling surveying to bring relevant expertise to the team
- Proficiency with modern survey hardware and software systems, including machinery guidance systems to stay up-to-date with industry advancements
- Attention to detail and a desire to do it right to deliver high-quality results
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals
- Laser scanner knowledge is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders
