Key Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Licensing Expert to spearhead our licensing strategies, working closely with the sales team to develop effective solutions that drive business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing customer requirements and determining the optimal Microsoft licensing model, as well as addressing complex licensing queries and structuring pricing for proposals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop in-depth understanding of client businesses and technology landscapes to identify the most suitable Microsoft licensing models
  • Implement value-added services for customers and internally, focusing on licensing costs, identifying additional functionalities, and introducing other CBS services into the account
  • Collaborate with account managers to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customer accounts
  • Generate actionable reports to track license usage, identify trends, and demonstrate the value of licensing optimization efforts to customers
  • Provide internal training to stakeholders on Microsoft licensing best practices, key terms, latest changes, and the value of optimizing licenses
  • Effectively troubleshoot licensing issues and provide solutions to complex challenges, queries, or issues related to provisioning, activation, renewals, and reservations
  • Engage with customers on a consultative and strategic level to develop strategic plans, roadmaps, and initiatives

About You:

We require an experienced Licensing Specialist who possesses commercial acumen, can structure licensing deals effectively, and has experience working in an MSP or Microsoft partner environment. Strong communication skills to convey licensing complexities in simple language are essential. Holding Microsoft certifications in licensing is a plus.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Microsoft licensing across CSP, EA, MCA, and Open Value models
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft cloud solutions (M365, Azure, D365, Power Platform)
  • Ability to prepare quality written correspondence and internal/external documentation
  • Solid knowledge/understanding of licensing for other software vendors, including VMware, Citrix (desirable)
