We are seeking a suitably qualified and motivated experienced Mining Engineer to fill this key position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of the underground mine, including optimizing development designs, and stope drill/blast designs to minimize dilution and maximize gold recovery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Optimizing drill/blast designs to minimize dilution and maximize gold recovery.
- Preparing accurate short-term mining schedules in order to meet mine targets.
- Liaising with the Senior Mine Engineer with regards to mine planning and schedule priorities.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent, demonstrated understanding of mine planning, scheduling, and production, prior experience with gold mining and/or narrow vein operation, and competent use of Datamine, VentSim software or similar.
The Norseman Gold Project is a new fully operational gold mining operation with a current mineral Resource of 4.5M ounces and ongoing organic growth expected.
