Indigenous Program Specialist

As a Cultural Trainer with MacKillop Family Services Limited, you will join a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about making a difference through education and cultural engagement. Our team is committed to delivering culturally safe and competent programs that support the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We are looking for someone who shares our vision and values, and who has a strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and values. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate training workshops and professional learning sessions for the Seasons of Healing program and Seasons of Growth suite of programs.
- Deliver training programs in face-to-face and online environments.
- Collaborate with the Lead – National Partnerships, MacKillop Seasons team, and other stakeholders to achieve program goals.
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and values.
- An awareness of the current challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities related to loss, change, and grief.
- The ability to operate under limited direction and as a member of a Cultural Trainers team or independently.
- The ability to facilitate learning through effective small group processes in face-to-face and online environments.
