Timber Door Production Specialist

Established in 1982, we specialise in the manufacture of high quality metal door frames, timber & specialty doors for the commercial building industry and the high security sector.

Job Description:

We seek a competent individual to join our production team. This position plays an integral role in the delivery of high quality timber doors and security doors.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand shop drawings
  • Operate Biessie CNC machine and Beam Saw of timber products
  • General door production, including gluing and pressing doors
  • Edge banding/stripping and finishing doors to a high quality
  • Material preparation, including planning, coring and routing
  • Marking or stencilling goods
  • Use of machinery, including hand tools and power tools to aid in the production of timber products
  • General warehousing duties
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment
  • Assist colleagues whenever necessary
  • Work to strict company standards and meet project timelines.

Requirements:

  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items
  • Experience in construction, or a willingness to learn
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing/hands on role
  • Experience with CNC machinery operation
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced working environment
  • Able to work overtime as required
  • White Card
  • Must pass a pre employment medical
  • Forklift licence is an advantage but not essential

Benefits:

  • $25.00 - $35.00 per hour salary
  • 8 hour shift
