Job Opportunity for Experienced Carer Support Workers

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Carer Lived Experience Consultant to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your lived experience in caring for someone who has accessed treatment in the public mental health sector.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of recovery principles in mental health, with a proven track record of providing support as a Carer Peer Support worker in the public mental health sector.

This position involves working closely with our team to develop, plan, and deliver services that cater to the needs of individuals with mental illnesses and their families/carers.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about shaping services that prioritize patient-centered care and excellence.

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A lived experience of caring for someone who has accessed treatment in the public mental health system
  • Experience in providing support as a Carer Peer Support worker in the public mental health sector
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recovery principles in mental health
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or equivalent or Intentional Peer Support (IPS) training or equivalent
