Our organization is seeking a skilled and experienced mechanical engineering professional to fill the role of Mechanical Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, and maintain new or altered mechanical equipment and parts.
  • Conduct quality control processes through workshop and field testing.
  • Assist in preparing drawings and plans for mechanical works.
  • Evaluate designs and works to ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and contract provisions.
  • Oversee team performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Conduct audits across various business sectors.
  • Review and approve inspection and safety procedures.
  • Analyze operational performance and recommend improvements.
  • Verify weld traceability and equipment calibration.
  • Provide guidance and support to operations teams.

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualifications in mechanical or fabrication fields.
  • CSWIP 3.1 visual weld inspections or equivalent certification.
  • NACE Level 1 certification (desired).
  • Internal auditor certification (desired).
  • Minimum three years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with CNC laser and brake press machines.
  • Proven track record in project management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer literacy, especially in spreadsheets and quality reporting.
