Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, as well as performing general repairs and maintenance works on trucks, trailers, and 4x4 vehicles.
About the Role:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engine faults using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Perform general repairs and maintenance works on trucks, trailers, and 4x4 vehicles, including replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems
- Check vehicle lighting systems and test drive vehicles to gauge performance
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification in diesel mechanics or a related field
- Diagnostic experience with diesel engines
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Highway truck or heavy earthmoving experience an advantage
- Strong fault-finding skills and attention to detail
