Healthcare Support Associate

The Health Service is seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Support Associate.

About the Role

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential support in wards, assist with patient transfers, undertake cleaning duties, and maintain security protocols under the direction of clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary care team to deliver safe and patient-centred care to diverse populations.
  • Provide general assistance in wards and conduct cleaning tasks as required.
  • Assist with patient transfers within the facility or campus under the guidance of clinical staff.
Selection Criteria
  • Current NSW Security licence (Class 1 A minimum).
  • Maintain the security licence and hold current Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) First Aid Certificate.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to person-centred care in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience working and communicating effectively with people from all backgrounds.

The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a team, showcasing experience in conflict resolution and aggression management. They must also possess a physical capacity to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and transferring patients. Strong reading and following instructions skills are essential.

Requirements
  • Current unrestricted drivers' licence.
  • Ability to drive/travel for the role, which may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
