The Senior Project Manager is a pivotal and leading figure in the successful development and delivery of energy storage projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality, sustainable energy solutions.
Key responsibilities include leading the execution of projects, developing staff and stakeholders to ensure successful meeting or exceeding expectations of all stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for building and nurturing long-term relationships with design and construct partners, equipment providers, and other partners.
This position requires an autonomous and pragmatic leader who has experience developing and delivering as part of a global matrixed team within the context of large-scale EPC projects. Experience within Energy Storage markets is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Lead battery energy storage projects from early works through NTP to successful handover to operations, collaborating closely with functional groups.
- Coordinate internal and external contributors, contractors, and partners.
- Nurture long-term relationships with design and construct partners, equipment providers, and other partners.
- Provide oversight, leadership, and guidance in project planning to the entire organization including collaboration with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and business administration groups.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, partners, sales, and senior management to ensure full life cycle project deliverables are met.
- Implement HSEQ standards across all project phases, ensuring compliance with legal, client, and internal requirements through proactive risk management, project & activity planning, contractor prequalification, and oversight of high-risk activities.
- Participate and lead business improvement projects including documenting and communicating initial project plans and any changes to the plan.
- Minimum 15+ years relevant experience in an energy sector engineering and/or battery storage related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a project manager with P&L responsibility.
- Degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline required.
- Exceptional leadership, collaboration, organising, and influencing skills.
- Outstanding analytical skills and business acumen.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment, travel, and to work under pressure with conflicting demands on time.
- Fluency in English language.

Experience and Qualifications
While not essential, previous experience within Energy Storage markets will be considered advantageous. Fluency in English is mandatory.
