Role description:We are seeking a talented Project Director to support our Victorian Civil Infrastructure Business. The role involves managing infrastructure projects at local, national, and international levels. The ideal candidate will have experience leading civil, structural, water, or energy projects for government and contractor clients, with expertise in negotiating various contract forms, including Design Only, Design & Construct (D&C), and Alliances.
As a Project Leader, you will balance strong commercial acumen with the ability to build long-term client relationships by ensuring project delivery meets their needs and expectations.
Role accountabilities:- Provide effective leadership to project teams, guide and advise, lead by example, and champion a quality culture.
- Lead the development of Arcadis Project Management offerings in Australia through high-quality service delivery, business development, and brand enhancement.
- Manage project performance, service delivery, and commercial outcomes with governance, financial controls, and risk management.
- Apply project management principles to improve processes and controls.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams.
- Communicate effectively, including leading client presentations, workshops, and training.
- Manage client relationships to ensure high satisfaction and mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Represent Arcadis on various committees and leadership teams.
- Mentor and develop project team members to reach their full potential.

- Extensive experience managing projects in a consultancy environment for government and contractor clients, with diverse contract exposure.
- A solid commercial background, including contract management and leading project financials.
- A recognized degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or Architecture.
- Strong leadership skills to mentor and develop teams.
- Motivation and passion for client success.
- Established relationships within the civil infrastructure sector in Victoria; connections in water and energy sectors are desirable. Must be eligible to work in Australia.
