Adventure Leader

The role of Outdoor Educator is a unique opportunity to work in a small, close-knit team and contribute to the growth and development of students through outdoor education programs.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading outdoor adventure activities, framing, supervising and debriefing activities under the supervision of experienced trainers, providing duty of care, supervision and learning experiences for students.

This position requires someone who is passionate about working with adolescents, has experience in bush camping and hiking, and is able to demonstrate initiative in completing tasks within a team-centered approach.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in experiential learning, knowledge or experience in bush camping and hiking, experience working with teenagers, and an understanding of adolescent development.

• A current manual driver's license
• A current Senior First Aid certificate (with current CPR)
• A Blue Card
• Ability to perform physically and mentally challenging tasks
• Willingness to be guided in work practice
• Able to demonstrate initiative in completing tasks within the context of a team-centered approach
• Interest and passion in working with adolescents
