Rehabilitation Consultant Job Description\

As a skilled professional, you will play a vital role in helping clients regain their independence and achieve their goals in life and work. Our team is passionate about making a real difference in people's lives and providing excellent customer care.

You will be responsible for undertaking assessments to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans, designing and implementing intervention programs using occupation to improve functional performance, independence, and work capacity, identifying barriers and designing programs that support people to achieve maximal work participation, and understanding healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes to empower your clients to achieve their wellness and recovery goals.

Liaising with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders is also an essential part of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake assessments relevant to the discipline
  • Design and implement intervention programs using occupation to improve functional performance, independence, and work capacity
  • Identify barriers and design programs that support people to achieve maximal work participation
  • Understand various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes
  • Liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Australian recognised degree qualification in Social Work (AASW)
  • Willingsness to learn and impact positively on people's lives in tangible ways
  • Ability to engage clients and stakeholders in the wellness and work journey
  • Commitment to high-level customer service
  • Current or able to get Working with Children Check and Police Clearance
