About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning & Development Specialist to join our team at Foot Locker. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of training requirements across all store and corporate team members to ensure alignment with Foot Locker's objectives and individual development needs.
  • Training Program Development: Develop comprehensive training plans encompassing strategies, content outlines, schedules, resource allocations, and performance metrics to effectively address identified needs and ensure measurable success.
  • Instructional Materials Development: Produce and distribute a range of instructional materials such as user manuals, quick reference guides, e-learning modules, videos, and presentation decks tailored to meet specific business requirements and enhance learning experiences.
  • Learning Session Delivery: In partnership with local and global HR teams, deliver interactive and impactful learning sessions, spanning from onboarding initiatives to specialized technical skills, compliance training, and leadership development programs, fostering an environment conducive to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Employee Engagement and Development: Support and elevate our team member Engagement, Wellness and DIBs strategy.
  • Succession Planning and Capability Development: Develop and rollout processes that support succession planning and capability development.
  • Project Management: As required, lead, support and/or contribute to key organisational strategic projects and initiatives aligned to people and performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 4-7 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in retail or similar industry
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Training, Learning & Development, Education, Business or related discipline
  • Skills: Experience in designing and evaluating training programs, managing large scale programs and multiple projects, analysing business needs and designing specific solutions, strong verbal and written communication skills, team player with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, proactive, accountable and hands-on approach, passion for retail industry and desire to contribute to a world-class organization
