The Swim Instructor will play a vital role in delivering safe, productive, innovative, and exceptional swimming lessons to students of all ages and abilities. To succeed in this position, you will need to have a solid understanding of the Swim and Survive program, industry developments, and OH&S guidelines applicable to the facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality swimming lessons using the Swim and Survive program, focusing on stroke development and water safety.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with students and their parents, creating a fun, welcoming, and safe learning environment.
- Work effectively with Swim School Captains to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene at all times.
You will also be responsible for reporting student growth and progress to the Swim Captain and ensuring the integrity of centre assets such as swim platforms and Learn to Swim equipment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:- Teacher of swimming and Water Safety
- Teacher of Infants and Pre School (desirable)
- Teacher of Inclusive Aquatics (desirable)
- CPR
- First Aid
- Working with Children Check - Vic
- Industry experience and license
In addition to these qualifications, you will need to possess excellent communication and consultation skills, including a commitment to open, honest, two-way, and frequent communication.
A passion to work with people, a focus on customer experience, professionalism, and accountability are also essential qualities for this role.
Salary:$65,000 per annum, plus superannuation benefits and opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
