About the School: Balcombe Grammar School is a prestigious independent co-educational institution catering to students from Foundation to Year 12, situated in a scenic location.
Position Overview: We are in search of a proficient strings instructor to deliver personalized instrumental lessons to students across both Primary and Secondary levels. The position is set to commence in Term 4, with the possibility of an earlier start through mutual agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group lessons tailored to students' needs.
- Support and guide ensembles, fostering a collaborative musical environment.
- Participate in various school events and performances throughout the academic year.
- Work closely with the Head of Music and Instrumental Music Coordinator to enhance the growth of our Instrumental Music Program.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven track record in nurturing and retaining instrumental students.
- Experience in teaching across all year levels, including VCE.
- Familiarity with the dynamics of a Primary and Secondary school setting.
- Commitment to attending music-related events, including School Soirees.
- Possession of relevant tertiary qualifications in music or education, along with VIT registration or a current Working With Children Check.
