Job Summary

Operate locomotives safely and efficiently on various rail networks, ensuring timely transportation of goods across the country. Key responsibilities include certifying trains for departure, maintaining a high level of on-time running, and providing exceptional customer service.

This role is ideal for experienced freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive drivers seeking a dynamic and challenging career opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough examinations of trains to ensure they are safe for operation.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow Aurizon's safety and operational standards.
  • Provide expert guidance to junior staff members and participate in training programs.
  • Collaborate with other teams to optimize rail operations and improve efficiency.
Requirements
  • Valid Certificate IV in Rail Operations or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience in freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving.
  • Strong commitment to safety and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
