Job Overview

MRAEL is partnering with Fletcher Insulation to source a motivated and enthusiastic Warehouse Operator Trainee. The role is based in Melbourne and offers the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate undertaking of warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, stock placement, security, and counting. They will also provide information to customers and staff as required and contribute to the efficient operation of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to site OH+S policies and procedures
  • Participate in hazard identification and risk assessments
  • Contribute to Productivity Improvement Projects
  • Perform data entry duties
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Ensure storage is to safe standards and protects product from damage
  • Participate in regular cycle counts and stock-takes
  • Load transport accurately and safely for distribution to customers
  • Receive and store product accurately and safely
  • Assist with manual handling and packaging of bought-in lines and fabrication products
Training and Support
  • All technical training provided
  • Obtain necessary work licenses and qualifications
  • Gain a Nationally recognised qualification
  • Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations
Requirements
  • 1+ years forklift experience
  • Current LF Forklift license
  • Previous experience loading/unloading trucks
  • Physical fitness to complete manual tasks
  • Ability to support business requirements
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Understanding and compliance with production orders
  • Order picking accuracy
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Identify discrepancies and escalate to relevant authorities
  • Conduct cycle counts
  • Maintain housekeeping standards
  • Interest in a career within Logistics
  • Eligibility to complete an Apprenticeship/Traineeship in Australia
