About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled surgical professional to join our team at Peninsula Health. As a key member of our Department of Surgery, you will be working alongside experienced surgical consultants and medical practitioners.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have an MBBS or equivalent, strong clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical practice, and eligibility for registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients and assist more senior doctors in complex cases.
  • Continuously develop your skills and knowledge to ensure that patients receive the best possible service reflecting up-to-date evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrate positive workplace behaviors and relationships at all times.

Requirements

You will need to have:

  • HMO4 level or beyond.
  • A commitment to pursuing a career in surgery.
  • The ability to work as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time role, based at Frankston Hospital, with potential to work at other health services sites or be involved in care for public patients at another hospital. You may be required to participate in on-call rosters and do night shifts.
