St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is a rapidly growing P-12 school with a student population exceeding 1200 students. The college is organized into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8) and Senior Years Learning.

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Secondary Teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will be required to teach one of the following subjects: English, Religious Education, Science, Mathematics, HSIE and PD/H/PE.

The role of Secondary Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in KLA(s).
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.

  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications
  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area(s).
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.
Working with Children Clearance

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
