Cardiology Specialist OpportunityA highly rewarding and challenging opportunity exists for a Cardiology Specialist to join our team in a busy and dynamic environment.Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cardiology Specialist to provide high-quality specialist cardiology services for inpatient and outpatient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing consultant service to inpatients, admitting patients under their care, and conducting outpatient clinics in general cardiology and heart rhythm disorders.

The role also involves ensuring a system of continuous quality improvement that systematically evaluates, identifies opportunities for improvement, and plans to implement strategies to meet customer needs.

Additionally, the Cardiology Specialist will provide clinical leadership in electrophysiology and cardiac devices through service development and clinical redesign.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultant service to inpatients and admit patients under their care incorporating principles of best practice.
  • Conduct outpatient clinics in general cardiology and heart rhythm disorders, with supervision of nurse-led clinics.
  • Ensure a system of continuous quality improvement that systematically evaluates, identifies opportunities for improvement and plans to implement strategies to meet customer needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership in electrophysiology and cardiac devices through service development and clinical redesign.
Requirements
  • Holds specialist registration or is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway or is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.
