Job Title: Emergency Department Support Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and organized individual to join our dynamic team as a Emergency Department Support Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting patient admission and communication pathways throughout the hospital.

  • You will be responsible for managing clerical tasks, coordinating communication, and ensuring smooth operation of the department.
  • In this fast-paced 24-hour environment, you will work on a rotating shift roster, using your excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

After training, you will have extensive knowledge in hospital policies and procedures related to patient classifications and admission types.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in administration, with experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a flexible approach to workload and shift rostering.
