
Logistics Operations Manager

The Transport Supervisor role is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional to work in a transport management position. Based at Riverview, the successful candidate will have a natural inclination to be a great leader, who thrives on driving a culture of continuous improvement and supporting management to ensure a safe and smooth daily business operation.
This role involves monitoring movement to meet operational demands and schedules, coordinating with drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely delivery and pick up schedules, promoting a safe, positive work environment whilst maintaining alignment with company policies, utilising company assets and contractors in a cost-effective manner, managing customer relations, and ensuring all legislative requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitoring and Coordinating Movement: Monitoring movement to meet operational demands and schedules, coordinating with drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely delivery and pick up schedules
- Workplace Culture and Compliance: Promoting a safe, positive work environment whilst maintaining alignment with company policies
- Asset Utilization and Cost Management: Utilising company assets and contractors in a cost-effective manner
- Customer Relationship Management: Managing customer relations
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all legislative requirements are met
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in transport, logistics, refrigerated freight movements and allocations
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of transport regulations including Fatigue, Chain of Responsibility and Mass and Maintenance under NHVR, proficient user or transport systems and MS Office
- Autonomy and Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
- Business Objectives: Demonstrated ability to achieve overall objectives of a business
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Energetic and Enthusiastic: Energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement
- Flexibility: Flexibility to take calls as required on weekends
- Current Licence: Current Drivers Licence
