Role Overview:
Minarah College is seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Information Officer to lead our Information Technology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the college's IT infrastructure, ensuring the effective operation of our systems, and driving the strategic implementation of technology to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the college's IT strategy, aligning technology initiatives with the overall goals and objectives of the institution.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including network administration, cybersecurity, hardware and software management, and user support.
- Lead the planning, development, and deployment of IT projects, including upgrades, new system implementations, and integration of emerging technologies.
- Oversee the maintenance and security of the college's IT infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, system reliability, and protection against cyber threats.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to identify technology needs and deliver solutions that enhance the educational experience and operational efficiency.
- Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement and deployment of technology resources.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Coordinate IT training for staff and students to maximize the effective use of technology resources.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in educational technology and IT management, and recommend appropriate innovations for the college.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISSP) would be an advantage.
- Proven experience in a senior IT management role, preferably within an educational institution.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading successful IT projects and initiatives.
- Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with educational technology platforms and learning management systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
