Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team, responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing process and automation solutions to drive business efficiency and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Automation: Identify and procure capital equipment to automate production processes, increase operational efficiency, and secure new business opportunities.
  • Capital Expenditure Planning: Prepare and execute capex plans for the installation and maintenance of automated plant and equipment.
  • Technical Expertise: Support the Sales Team with technical expertise on automation solutions and customer requirements.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage complex automation projects as directed by the GM - Technology.
  • Research and Development: Research and evaluate new technologies and automation practices as directed.

Requirements

  • Technical Experience: Experience as a Technical Manager in FMCG, manufacturing/production environment with a focus on process automation and implementation.
  • Project Management: Proven Project Management experience, with a strong understanding of manufacturing automation and process improvement techniques.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to build a cohesive and values-driven team motivated to achieve outstanding results.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Relevant Tertiary Qualifications/Trade Qualification/Technical Qualification, with a strong understanding of process automation best practices in a manufacturing environment.

About You

You will be a respected leader, with excellent coaching and mentoring capability, and a strong track record of delivering business and process improvement outcomes. You will be well known for your technical knowledge of the plastic manufacturing industry, experience in automation projects in manufacturing, and positive attitude.
