Job Role: Senior Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing construction works on-site, managing stakeholders, schedules, risks, safety, quality, and communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management of construction works, including managing stakeholders, schedules, risks, safety, quality, and communications.
  • Supporting the lead project manager in other project deliverables.
  • Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and other key stakeholders of the project.
  • Leading and managing complex projects and programs as the key client interface.
  • Developing working relationships, problem-solving, and driving projects to successful completion.
  • Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations.
  • Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs-saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
  • Managing project safety and environmental requirements.
  • Managing project timelines, risks, and reporting.
  • Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep the budget on track.
  • Chairing project/site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Engaging with marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Coordinating vendor scope with overall project delivery.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of project management experience, preferably gained within the hi-tech/data centres environment.
  • Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Has obtained chartered status or is on the path to achieving this.
  • A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all operational stages to completion and post-project review.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of all main project management concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Design, management, or construction experience gained within the general construction environment, ideally residential, office, fit-outs, and health & education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
