About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled tax advisor to join our team. As a key member of our national practice group, you will work closely with our partners and other lawyers to provide expert tax guidance to our clients.

You will have the opportunity to represent some of Australia's and the world's top companies in tax advisory work and resolving their disputes through various methods, including alternative dispute resolution and litigation.

Key responsibilities will include providing technically sound and commercially informed advice on tax issues relevant to transactions and projects for our clients across various sectors, collaborating closely with other practice groups, and working with leading members of the tax bar where opinions are required.

Requirements
  • Experience in tax, preferably at a large law firm or with a recognised specialist tax practice.
  • Experience in advisory and transactional work and/or tax controversy, including audits, objections, and litigation.
  • Able to work independently and effectively manage smaller matters and elements of larger matters.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
