About the Role

The Communications Lead – CRR is a technical expert responsible for providing support to the construction and Test and Commissioning teams. This role ensures all contract requirements are met with evidence available.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Writing, reviewing, and implementing Hexagon checklists for wireless systems and PA Systems
  • Signing off on RPEQ after reviewing Hexagon acceptance of Construction Activities
  • Providing SME guidance and advice for construction and testing & commissioning activities
  • Ensuring network design and acceptance during configuration stages
  • Preparing Work Instructions for wireless systems testing
  • Preparing Telecommunications Commissioning Report for each configuration stage
  • Reviewing and approving Redline Markups of drawings
  • Acting as RPEQ for Wireless System Document sign off
  • Governing and signing off RF testing activities for testing and commissioning
  • Providing SME and point of contact for Lead Carrier (Telco), GWN Directorate, ETCS (Hitachi) and ERS (RIS) systems
  • Planning and supporting the Test and Commissioning of the MTS / ERS / GWN/PS systems
  • Quality Control reviews of installation activities
  • Recommending and procuring testing equipment for testing
  • Writing / updating the EMC Commissioning Report for each configuration stage
  • Providing assurance for EMC activities for the configuration stages
  • Investigating Standards and providing assistance with compliance for procured items
  • Responding to ISA comments for EMC
  • Assisting to resolve EMC related issues in Stations and Tunnel

About You

To be successful in this role, you will thrive in a technical environment and be able to solve problems. Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in a hands-on engineering management role
  • Design of systems including documentation of drawings, reports, and specifications
  • Understanding of the test and commissioning process, methods, and requirements as it relates to wireless systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook
  • Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
  • Mandatory – CPEng and ability to achieve RPEQ in an appropriate discipline
