Job Description
We seek an experienced Team Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our retail operations facility in Laverton, Melbourne. This role requires a strong leader who can implement safety initiatives, lead by example, and foster effective collaboration among teams. Key responsibilities include ensuring customer satisfaction, managing team performance, and driving a positive culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement site-specific safety strategies.
- Promote a positive work culture by leading by example and encouraging teamwork.
- Monitor and improve operational performance to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve productivity goals.
- Manage labour and resource allocation to meet business needs.
- Coordinate training programs for team members on equipment operation and warehouse procedures.
- Engage with team members to promote open communication and address any concerns.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will require extensive experience in logistics management, preferably in the retail logistics or FMCG sectors. Strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of safety protocols, and expertise in multi-temperature operations are essential. Experience with route distribution, profit, and loss analysis, and labour cost control is also desirable.
