Senior DevOps Engineer

Our organization is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to play a key role in shaping the future of our infrastructure services.

This position sits within our IT - System Services - Core Modernisation Transition team, where you will apply DevOps principles, drive automation using PowerShell and Shell scripting, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

A strong focus on operational excellence, system reliability, and secure infrastructure delivery is essential for this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale workload migrations and ensure seamless infrastructure operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, including Terraform Certified expertise, Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert certification or equivalent AWS/GCP certification, and experience deploying Terraform in highly secure environments.

Additionally, you should have expertise in Windows Server or Red Hat Linux operating systems, experience with VMware ESXI 7 or later, and proficiency in configuration management using Puppet or similar tools.

As a senior engineer, you will provide constructive feedback and guidance to support team development and continuous improvement, while embracing a learning mindset and encouraging innovation in systems and software lifecycle practices.

  • Terraform Certified with deep knowledge of the HashiCorp toolset (Vault, Terraform, Packer).
  • Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent AWS/GCP certification.
  • Proven experience deploying Terraform in highly secure, multi-datacentre environments.
  • Expertise in Windows Server or Red Hat Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with VMware ESXI 7 or later.
  • Proficient in configuration management using Puppet or similar tools.
  • Skilled in application packaging and deployment using Chocolatey, Artifactory, and Red Hat Satellite or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Intersight for infrastructure management.

You will be able to present complex technical data in a meaningful way to both business and IT stakeholders, comfortable working across multiple disciplines in a large-scale enterprise environment.
