About the Role:
The Office of Administrative Hearings is seeking to appoint a non-permanent Safety & Facilities Coordinator (Program Specialist 5) within our Headquarters division. The initial term is expected to last for 12 months.

This role is integral to the planning, organization, implementation, and oversight of the agency's safety initiatives and facilities strategy. The individual will undertake a diverse range of complex responsibilities encompassing program management, project oversight, budgeting, and contract management.

The Safety & Facilities Coordinator is tasked with ensuring the agency adheres to health and safety regulations and collective bargaining agreements, including compliance with the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) and the Washington Industrial Safety & Health Act (WISHA). Responsibilities related to facilities and spatial planning will involve collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, including members of the Executive Management Team, Legal Administrative Managers, and the Department of Enterprise Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee safety, security, and facility protocols across multiple agency locations.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate with local management to implement safety measures.
  • Develop and monitor safety programs and initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, business, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of four years of professional experience in safety and/or facilities management or coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, security protocols, and emergency preparedness.
  • Proven experience in managing and evaluating programs or departments for effectiveness and compliance.
  • Exceptional organizational and workload management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
