Job Title: Advanced Imaging Lead

This role presents a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of high-quality imaging services within a dynamic healthcare environment. As the Advanced Imaging Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily clinical and operational management of the CT Unit, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.

Reporting to the Chief Radiographer and Campus Operations Manager, you will be accountable for procedure scheduling, workload distribution, and staff allocation in the CT department. Your expertise in problem-solving, resource coordination, and transformational leadership will drive optimal patient outcomes through efficient management and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing professional and procedural standards for the CT service;
  • Leading a multidisciplinary team to excel in complex imaging procedures, including interventional, cardiac, neonatal, and paediatric scans;
  • Contributing to research, clinical audits, and leading or overseeing CT-related projects;
  • Participating in monthly Section Head meetings and other necessary forums to ensure seamless service delivery across the department.

As an experienced and highly skilled CT Radiographer, you will possess advanced clinical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Your ability to manage complex workloads, lead change, and foster a supportive team environment is essential for delivering high-quality imaging services.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Current registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia and a valid Radiation Licence;
  • Proven leadership skills with high-level communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and the ability to manage change and support staff development;
  • Advanced competency in at least two CT sub-specialties, such as Cardiac, Paediatric or Neurosurgical;
  • Sound knowledge of CT safety, radiation protection regulations, and workplace health and safety principles, coupled with strong IT and reporting skills.
