Job Overview

Supporting the hospitality function within our care home is a dynamic role that involves catering, cleaning and laundry services. You will be part of a team that interacts with people, contributing to giving back to society's most vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standards by ensuring proper practices and procedures are followed.
  • Complete required documentation and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Respond promptly to residents' queries and requests, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with laundry duties such as loading washers & dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping or ironing linen items.
  • Catering / food services involve assisting with basic food preparation, serving meals and snacks, clearing dining areas and performing dishwashing tasks.
  • Cleaning duties encompass general cleaning, including mopping, vacuuming and waste collection in residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Developed communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, colleagues and management.
  • Able to work flexible shifts throughout the week, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to support the care home's operational needs.
  • Understand and apply work health, safety and hygiene practices, working independently with minimal supervision.
