Job Summary:
Industrial Light & Magic is seeking a skilled Texture Artist to join our Sydney studio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality textures for complex CG models, including creatures, hard surface models, and environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with production teams to execute the desired look of CG models, utilizing advanced skills in texture creation and manipulation.
- Participate in design solutions and provide feedback to team members through regular dailies.
- Mentor junior and mid-level artists to ensure consistent productivity and high-quality work.
- Meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity while producing exceptional work.
Requirements:
- At least three years of professional VFX experience and a college-level diploma or higher in computer graphics, fine arts, design, or photography, or a related field; OR at least five years of relevant professional VFX experience.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in painting, illustration, or design, as showcased in a demo reel and portfolio.
- Familiarity with film production and computer graphics, with proficiency in Maya, Mari, ZBrush, Photoshop, and UV unwrapping tools.
- Ability to navigate complex pipelines and learn quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Modeling skills and knowledge of Katana/Look Dev.
