We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic academic to contribute to the teaching, research and service activities of our School. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about advancing Geography and inspiring the next generation of learners.
This role involves developing and delivering foundation and profession-focused units, engaging in quality research and scholarly activity, and supporting students across undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels. Depending on your experience, you may also take on leadership in curriculum development, course coordination, research projects or supervision responsibilities.
About the RoleIn this position, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and research programs that meet the needs of our students and the community. You will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and effective teaching materials, as well as contributing to the School's research program through publications and other scholarly activities.
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students, staff and industry partners, and will be supported by a strong team environment and excellent resources. Key Responsibilities- Teach and develop curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Geography
- Contribute to the School's research program through publications and other scholarly activities
- Develop and deliver research projects and supervise students
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and research programs
- PhD in Geography or a closely related discipline
- Teaching qualification or willingness to complete a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education
- Experience teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, using multi-modal delivery strategies
- Proven research record with recent publications and ability to contribute to the School's research program
