Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ground Support Equipment Technician to join our team at Qantas Group. As a key member of our Ground Support team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair GSE, including motorized and non-motorized vehicles and equipment
  • Use the IFS Maintenance system to capture maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a range of stakeholders across engineering, airports, and freight to ensure service level agreements are met
Requirements
  • Trade certificate in Automotive or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years post-trade experience
  • Fabrication and welding experience highly regarded
  • Diagnostics and repair skills with an understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems desirable but not essential
  • Ability to adapt under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Dedication to maintaining safe work practices and environment
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus
  • Sound computer literacy
  • Ability to work shift work - mornings and afternoons
  • Previous GSE maintenance experience advantageous
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket highly desirable
  • Forklift license highly desirable
