Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care to join our nursing team.

The hospital has 277 beds and is a high acuity facility with an Emergency Department located in Sydney. Our Emergency Department sees over 10,000 adult and paediatric presentations each year and participates in the NSW Ambulance Matrix system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and mentor the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based patient care.
  • Demonstrate professional practice by adhering to professional standards, code of ethics, and conduct.
  • Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team's professional development.
  • Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive high-quality care across the healthcare continuum.

Essential Criteria

  • Current registration with relevant health authority.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in ED with strong clinical experience and knowledge in resuscitation, triage, and team leader roles.
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing or working towards.
  • Understanding of National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards.
