Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a trauma-informed, supportive and integrated service. As a key member of the IVPRS management team, you will provide clinical guidance and leadership for the clinical services within IVPRS.

The successful candidate will have extensive clinical experience in complex trauma and trauma-informed practice within a Violence, Abuse & Neglect setting, with a commitment to implement integrated models of care.

You will be responsible for providing line management, supervision, clinical advice and support to clinicians working with complex and vulnerable clients.

Additionally, you will have a demonstrated high-level understanding of the inter-related dynamics and effects of sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect and domestic violence, along with knowledge and understanding of current policies, legislation and legal systems relating to sexual assault and other forms of inter-personal violence.

As part of this role, you will also work alongside the IVPRS Coordinator to ensure operational management of these multidisciplinary counselling services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical guidance and leadership for the clinical services within IVPRS.
  • Manage a diverse workload, coordinate projects efficiently and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve clinical services and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification (minimum bachelor degree) in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling or Graduate Certificate in Human & Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma).
  • Eligibility for appropriate professional registration or association membership.
  • Extensive clinical experience in complex trauma and trauma-informed practice within a Violence, Abuse & Neglect setting.
  • Management or senior clinical leadership experience within a Violence, Abuse & Neglect setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
