Colour Technician Job Description

The role of Colour Technician is focused on ensuring the highest standard of service and supporting customer requirements. Key responsibilities include colour management, formulation, and mixing of pigments and inks, as well as preparation of materials and colour matching.

Furthermore, Colour Technicians use x-rite spectrophotometer for QA/QC and development purposes, industry-standard colour databases usage, sampling, field and laboratory tests, and analysis, including tack, grind, strength, and other physical properties measurement. Additionally, they collate information and measurements, reports preparation for internal and customer use, routine mathematical calculations, quality and quantity control of laboratory supplies by testing samples and monitoring usage, test equipment checking, calibrating, and maintenance, on-site trouble shooting for customers, and inventory and material management for in-house and customer use.

Key skills and qualifications required for the role of Colour Technician include good communication skills, an eye for detail, numeracy with experience in computers (PC & Mac) and Microsoft Excel, and laboratory technician qualifications or experience, printing ink, paint, or graphic arts experience. Our ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
