High-profile companies are seeking skilled professionals to lead the design, integration and optimization of complex data architectures using Databricks Lakehouse Platform.

Mandatory prerequisites for this role include proven experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale data architectures, advanced skills in Spark and cloud architecture, and the ability to work on a daily-rate contract basis.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical expertise, strong leadership skills and hands-on delivery experience in production environments.

  • Architecting at Enterprise Scale – Design and deliver data architectures using Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including Medallion architecture and modern governance frameworks.
  • Spark Performance Optimisation – Tune Spark for scale (skew, spills, memory constraints) using AQE, structured streaming, and advanced partitioning.
  • Advanced Data Engineering – Build optimized pipelines using Python/Scala, Delta Lake, DBT, and Databricks SQL.
  • Migration & Transformation – Lead large-scale migrations from legacy platforms to Databricks.
  • Technical Leadership – Run client workshops, translate requirements into technical designs, mentor teams, and deliver PoCs.
  • Lakehouse Governance – Apply best practices with Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Autoloader, Photon, and Z-Ordering.
  • Cloud Expertise – Leverage Azure, AWS, and IaC tools such as Terraform.

  • Databricks Technologies – Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Autoloader, Photon, Structured Streaming, Databricks SQL.
  • Programming – Expert Python, solid Scala.
  • Architecture – Lakehouse, Medallion, Data Mesh, and modern data engineering principles.
  • Data Formats & Tools – Delta, Iceberg, Parquet, SCD, DBT, Git, CI/CD workflows.
  • Consulting Skills – Client-facing delivery, strong communication, and technical leadership.
