Our client, a National Civil Contractor, has been in operation for almost 100 years, specializing in projects across various sectors, including Bulk Earthworks, Mining, Road Construction, and more. With over 90 staff members, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional results and building strong relationships with their clients.

About the Role

This is a 3-month contract role, with the possibility of a permanent position, requiring a skilled Site/Project Engineer to deliver a large-scale Mining Facility project. The role involves working Monday to Friday, with costs covering meals and accommodation, and a potential vehicle offered in certain circumstances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and understand drawings, designs, and 3D models
  • Calculate volumes for each work area and total material volumes
  • Maintain records of daily testing
  • Provide timely notice to the client for upcoming works
  • Identify, set out, and report on daily work area testing
  • Prepare ITPs, update FICs, update spreadsheets of geotechnical results, gather, and oversee all quality assurance documents and tasks
Requirements
  • Bachelor/Masters of Engineer degree
  • Experience delivering Bulk Earthworks or Mining projects previously
  • Strong geotechnical background and exposure conducting quality tests on site (ITPs)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ideal proficiency with AutoCAD and Trimble software
  • Immediate availability or on short notice
