About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Material Planner / Expeditor to join our Hi-Performance Operations Team.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the delivery and efficient flow of all parts and materials necessary for production Job / Project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Align with Production Planning / ERP system to ensure 100% Just In Time (JIT) parts and material availability
- Review Engineering Drawings and BOM's to table all Job / Project specific parts and material requirements
- Track orders and shipments, ensuring timely delivery of parts and materials to meet customer delivery dates
- Work with internal and external suppliers to expedite orders and resolve delivery issues
- Manage agreed inventory levels
- Participate in daily X-Functional Tier2 KPI meetings to provide parts and materials updates
- Generate material status, supplier performance, and inventory level reports
- Delegate duties with detailed handover in the event of absence
Requirements
- Reliable and highly motivated with a positive 'can do' attitude
- Strong background with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in Engineering/Manufacturing
- Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in Engineering/Manufacturing
- Experience in inventory management, supply chains, and Bills Of Material (BOM's)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to analyse and interpret data for informed decision making
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel (pivot tables, data manipulation)
- Good communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
- A strong work ethic and able to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently
- Have a valid and current Qld Driver's License with reliable transport
