KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and resolve technical accounting and audit challenges;
- Conduct reviews of audit work performed;
- Examine financial statements to ensure adherence to Accounting Standards and prepare reports and opinions for management;
- Summarize key engagement areas for the partner;
- Ensure each assignment is completed to a high-quality standard, within budget, and on or before deadlines;
- Manage multiple audit engagements concurrently with various team members;
- Negotiate fees alongside the partner and demonstrate commercial accountability for client profitability;
- Contribute to meetings and deliver effective presentations to both staff and clients;
- Assist in managing and coordinating the audit team, including training, mentoring, and compliance with methodologies;
- Monitor staffing needs and plan for future resource requirements;
- Support partners in business development and marketing initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in Business or Commerce with a major in Accounting
- Completion of CA or equivalent certification
- 5-7 years of audit experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong prioritization abilities
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Corporations Act 2001, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards, and other relevant legislation
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in business development
